New UK coalition targets alternative fuels and decarbonization
The UK Chamber of Shipping and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) have launched the UK Alternative Maritime Fuels Coalition, bringing together shipowners, fuel suppliers, producers and maritime technology developers to accelerate the shipping industry’s transition to lower-carbon fuels.
The new coalition will focus on a key challenge for maritime decarbonization: ensuring the UK has the fuel supply, infrastructure and policy framework needed to support the sector’s transition to net zero.
