China completes first green methanol bunkering for international-voyage bulk carrier
China has completed its first green methanol bunkering operation for an international-voyage bulk carrier, supplying 1,021 tonnes of ISCC EU-certified green methanol to the 65,700-dwt methanol dual-fuel Ultramax Green Future at Guangzhou Port on September 6, according to Guangzhou Port Group.
The ship-to-ship operation was carried out by the 7,500-dwt Daqing 268 at the Dayushan anchorage and took about 10 hours. It was Guangzhou Port’s first methanol ship-to-ship bunkering operation and Guangdong province’s first methanol STS bunkering operation at an anchorage.
