Port of Hamburg moves closer to ammonia bunkering
The Port of Hamburg has taken a step towards supporting ammonia-powered shipping after completing a comprehensive risk assessment and safety framework for ship-to-ship ammonia bunkering in collaboration with MB Energy.
The initiative, developed with input from terminal operators, shipping representatives and local authorities, is aimed at establishing the safety requirements needed for the future use of ammonia as a marine fuel.
