Busan Port to develop bunkering infrastructure for LNG and methanol
Busan Port is accelerating plans to establish itself as a leading alternative fuel hub by developing large-scale bunkering infrastructure for LNG and green methanol.
According to the Busan Port Authority (BPA) the core of the project is the construction of dedicated facilities by 2032 on roughly 120,000–123,000 square meters in the port’s southern container hinterland. This includes LNG storage capacity of about 370,000 cubic meters and green methanol storage capacity of around 150,000 cubic meters, along with berthing infrastructure to support safe ship-to-ship bunkering operations.
