Mumbai port expresses interest for methanol bunkering
On 17 March, the Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) issued an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the supply of methanol as a marine bunker fuel at Mumbai Harbour.
The initiative is aimed at supporting India’s commitment to sustainable shipping and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from maritime transport. The EOI invites proposals from experienced entities capable of providing consistent and reliable supplies of methanol, demonstrating technical expertise in handling and storage, and collaborating with MbPA to develop safe bunkering infrastructure.
