LH2 Shipping receives fund from Enova to build hydrogen-powered bulk carriers
LH2 Shipping announced that it has received a new grant of NOK 344.3 million (about US$34 million) from the Norwegian energy agency Enova to develop and build two additional liquid-hydrogen-powered bulk carriers.
The award expands LH2 Shipping’s portfolio to six hydrogen-powered bulk carrier projects, reinforcing momentum behind liquid hydrogen (LH₂) as a zero-emission fuel for short-sea shipping. The company says the new vessels are part of its strategy to move beyond pilot projects and establish commercially viable hydrogen-powered shipping.
